Widespread arrest of Kurdish activists on charges of participating in Nowruz celebrations

The arrest of Kurdish civil activists continues on the charge of participating in Nowruz celebrations, and 15 civil activists, political activists and artists have been arrested in the past four days. According to the news received, Iranian security forces have arrested 14 political, civil and artistic activists in the city of Ashnoyeh for organizing and participating in Nowruz ceremonies. One of those arrested, Hadi Laweh, is a young Kurdish artist, the reason for his arrest was singing epic songs during the Nowruz ceremony. Hamzah Jafari (Bardin Jafari), a Kurdish singer, was arrested in Gilangharb city of Kermanshah province with the same charge.

Besides his artistic activities, Bardin Jafari is a well-known civil activist in Kermanshah and previously published several songs about the Turkish attack on Afrin, Mother Language Day and International Women's Day.
