Amnesty International: Ebrahim Raeesi should have been criminally investigated as long as he was alive

The human rights organization Amnesty International wrote in a statement on the occasion of the death of the President of the Islamic Republic: "Ebrahim Raisi should have been subject to criminal investigations as long as he was alive, including crimes against humanity, murder, enforced disappearance and torture." In May 2018, Ebrahim Raeesi openly defended the mass killings, describing the executions as "one of the [Islamic Republic's] proudest achievements."
