The Iraqi government has banned the activities of Iranian Kurdish parties.
According to a new decree by Iraq's National Security Advisor Qassem Araji, all activities of Iranian Kurdish parties on Iraqi soil are prohibited.
According to this decree, which was issued within the framework of a security agreement between Tehran and Baghdad, all political, military and even social activities of Kurdish parties opposed to the Iranian government are prohibited on Iraqi soil.
In recent days, security forces in Sulaymaniyah had informed three Iranian opposition parties to evacuate their bases in Zrgwez and go to the Surdash camp as soon as possible.
Also, security forces in Erbil had asked the Kurdistan Republican Party of Iran to close its headquarters in this city.
In the past four years, Iran has intensified its pressure on the Iraqi government and the local government of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in order to put an end to the activities of Kurdish parties opposed to the Tehran regime, which have been based in Iraq for more than 40 years.
In this regard, several understandings and agreements have been signed between Iran and Iraq in the past two years.
