Missile attack on Erbil airport .. Iranian-backed forces are the main Accused

Four rockets exploded near Erbil International Airport in Iraqi Kurdistan. Kurdistan Anti-Terror Forces announced that 6 missiles were fired from the village of Amiriyeh in Ninawa province towards Erbil airport. Kurdistan Anti-Terrorism has stated that two missiles did not explode and four others exploded near the airport, and also stressed that the missile attacks did not cause any damage. The statement from the force said that the popular mobilization forces fired rockets. A number of international coalition forces are stationed near Erbil airport, but have reportedly not been harmed. Attacks on coalition forces and foreign embassies in Iraq have intensified in recent days, angering the United States and threatening to close its embassy in Baghdad and attack Iranian-backed forces if attacks continue.
